Our Six-Pence Family Engagement Home Visiting Program, in collaboration with local school districts, helps at-risk infants and toddlers by utilizing the “Parents as Teachers” curriculum to engage our participant families to foster positive family dynamics through regular meetings, social events, and support sessions.

In July 2015, Volunteers of America Western Nebraska entered an innovative collaboration between our state's public and private sectors that enhance the quality and efficiency of early learning and development services offered in Nebraska communities. The Sixpence Early Learning Fund provides grant funding to schools in partnership with community providers and childcare services. Sixpence works to help caregivers and parents provide safe, stimulating environments that spark learning through meaningful interactions.
